We recently spent a week in Antigua with about 40 other content creators, for a mini conference, arranged alongside the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Board and Traverse Events. The conference itinerary was pretty tight, but we were keen to explore as much of the island as possible. We only really managed to see the capital of St. John’s for about an hour with a couple of other creators, Flora and Shu; but I think it’s fair to say we smashed out a tonne of great images in such a short space of time!
As always, this post is more of a round-up of our photos from the day, but I would definitely recommend reading Flora’s blog for more insight from Antigua, as she’s far more eloquent with her words!
Heritage Quay
Our taxi dropped us off at Heritage Quay, the main port for all the cruise ships and where all the duty free shops are.
It’s probably the most touristy area of the city, but sometimes that’s the best place to start, to get a feel of a new place. From Heritage Quay, we just went wandering around some of the streets and kept a close eye on the time to make sure we didn’t drift too far.
Our Antigua trip was during Sailing week, an annual yacht regatta that was created to extend the travel season, enticing people to stay in Antigua for longer.
It’s always nice taking shots with other people who do the same thing as you, helping us see things we wouldn’t normally do in passing.
There was so much that caught our eye whilst walking around and we couldn’t stop taking photos of the people and the bright coloured shops.
It’s always interesting to see the subtle differences in what Joe and I take whilst roaming around the streets.
If you want to see a more in-depth review of the pizza and other antics from Antigua, check out Shu’s vlog below!

I hope you enjoyed our quick shoot around St. John’s in Antigua! Considering it was pretty brief, I think we still got some memorable shots and enjoyed our time with Flora and Shu. For more updates, make sure to follow us across social media!

I love the colors, they are so vibrant ! I just recenlty discovered this blog and your yt chanel, and I am already a fan :) I like street photography, and my friend are always like of what do yoy take a photo, its just a street, nothing interesting there. But i dont see it like that - i see life, culture, people...but when you are a photographer, or you wanna be one, you see things in another perspective... Love your work, its very interesting, the posts, as well as the blog/vlogs ! Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina, hope to see you one day here, we have a lot to offer :)
Thanks! I totally agree with you about seeing streets in completely different ways. Sometimes it can be really hard to explain the perspective, but when you see it captured at just the right time, suddenly it all clicks and falls into place!
